Kids, bring your parents along to our maritime discovery zone overlooking historic Salem Harbor! Take a peek at the Friendship of Salem through the porthole telescope. Imagine life aboard a ship while checking out the harbor view from the helm of our ship. Charts of Salem Harbor as well as a compass rose will help guide the way for adventure.

Looking to move around the site a bit more? Ask the admissions associate for a scavenger hunt. If you can complete it, you can return it for a prize!

HANDS-ON HISTORY

Hands-on History activities at The House of the Seven Gables allow the young and young-at-heart to try their hand at activities based on skills from the past. Whether you are penning your name with a quill pen, churning some fresh butter or constructing your own mansion by the sea, you will be learning and having fun at the same time.
