“After getting engaged at Salem Willows on Halloween of 2020, my wife and I knew we had to return to the Witch City the following Halloween for our wedding. What more scenic, iconic, and historical Salem sight than the House of Seven Gables? Our garden ceremony was perfect. We were very nervous about inclement weather, but Deb had a backup plan to move the ceremony indoors if necessary. Our wedding at the House of the Seven Gables was spectacular. Deb was very kind and took her time speaking with us, meeting with us beforehand for a tour, accommodating our wedding party, and efficiently facilitating during and after the ceremony. She even picked up our flowers from Dave Eng herself! It was beautiful getting married in front of the water. We had a lovely time taking photos in the garden, historical houses, and in front of the harbor. Also knowing that our money was going to a great cause was a huge bonus. Surrounded by beauty and history, the House of the Seven Gables is a beautiful landmark and venue.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
We are in a residential area and must be good neighbors. All rentals are for a maximum of five hours and must end by 10:00 p.m. Vendor set up and take down times are not included in these five hours.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your rental fee is required with the return of a signed contract to confirm the space along with a refundable security deposit of $1000.
The House of the Seven Gables is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit. Hosting your special event at The Gables helps us to continue our century-old mission of preservation and education. Be part of an ongoing legacy and make memories that will last a lifetime at The House of the Seven Gables.

Professional photography is any session using a paid photographer or any professional-style shoot, including wedding, family, or special event portraits. Professional photography is permitted when approved in advance and requires a signed contract between the photographer and The Gables along with a certificate of insurance. Unless you notify the photographer on-site otherwise, your attendance at an event or program grants The House of the Seven Gables permission to display and/or publish any photographs in which you appear.
