About Our Programs and Services
The House of the Seven Gables offers FREE English as a Second Language (ESL) and Citizenship classes for adults. Our programs help immigrants learn English, understand U.S. culture, and prepare for citizenship.
We also offer support services, including meetings with an immigration specialist by appointment, as well as volunteer support to help students practice and improve their English. Additional programs are offered throughout the year.

OUR CLASSES AND SCHEDULE

ESL - DAY
Level 1 and Level 2: Tuesday and Thursday, 10 A.M.-12 P.M.
Daytime English classes for adult learners in a small group setting (about 10 students). Classes are open to Complete Beginners, Level 1, and Level 2 students. Students practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening in a supportive and welcoming environment.

ESL - NIGHT
Level 1 and Level 2: Tuesday and Thursday, 6-8 P.M.
Level 3: Monday and Wednesday, 6-8 P.M.
Evening English classes for adults in a larger group (about 15 students). Available for Level 1, Level 2, Level 3. Focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening in a respectful, supportive classroom.

CITIZENSHIP – NIGHT
Monday and Wednesday, 6-8 P.M.
OR Tuesday and Thursday, 6-8 P.M.
Evening citizenship preparation classes for adults. Citizenship classes go beyond language learning. They help immigrants understand the legal and cultural aspects of becoming a U.S. citizen, including rights, responsibilities, and the naturalization process.
