Support The Gables

MAKE A DONATION

Caroline Emmerton founded The House of the Seven Gables Settlement Association in 1910, with the goal of using proceeds from tours of the famous mansion to fund her community education work. While we greatly depend on revenue from visitors, these funds alone are not enough to sustain our mission to be a welcoming, thriving, historic site and community resource that engages people of all backgrounds in our inclusive American story, and we do not receive federal funding.

This is where YOU come in.

Please consider making a donation to The Gables. Your support allows us to preserve our National Historic Landmark District and provide educational opportunities for local immigrant families.

To make your donation go further, consider a recurring gift monthly, quarterly or annually.

Donations can be made through our secure online system. If you prefer mail, please send your gift to:

The House of the Seven Gables
Attn: Development
115 Derby Street
Salem, MA 01970

There are multiple other ways to support The House of the Seven Gables. Consider supporting a special project.

The House of the Seven Gables has a number of unique projects that will enhance the visitor experience at our National Historic Landmark District museum campus. We need you to invest in these unique opportunities.

GABLES BRICK PROJECT

The Gables Brick Project began in 2015 to repair and revitalize the brick walkway leading from our parking lot to our Visitor Center, but has expanded to include other walkways in need of restoration. This project allows donors to commemorate a special date, honor a friend or remember a loved one.

We are not currently accepting orders for new bricks, but we will offer the opportunity in the future. If you are interested in joining the wait list, contact development@7gables.org. In the meantime, you can click here to support us with a donation. All donations to our nonprofit historic site allow us to preserve our historic campus and continue our educational programs for the local immigrant community.
