The Trauma of Immigration and its Impact on Children with Elsabel Rincón

Join us for our 2nd Immigration Conversation of the year as Elsabel Rincón provides an overview of the immigrant experience and its impact on children, ages 4 – 18. Ms. Rincón will base her presentation on the experiences of children and adolescents whom she personally knows, describing the forces and experiences that mark them as they navigate different areas of American culture. Her talk will include a PowerPoint presentation describing the acculturation process of young immigrants as they try to adapt to a new country and a new way of life. A question-and-answer period will follow her presentation.
