Member Appreciation Week: Reading of the First Chapter in the Parlor

We’re pretty sure we’re correct in saying that this has never been done before! Reading the first chapter of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The House of the Seven Gables in the said mansion’s parlor!

Sit in the same room where Hawthorne got his inspiration for the novel and be immersed in the ambiance of the house.

This event is part of Member Appreciation Week and is for Leadership level members only (Patron level and higher). We will have a small group reading the first chapter together aloud. Then we’ll enjoy refreshments and chat about the novel in the Great Room of the Hooper-Hathaway house to conclude the evening.
