Plays at Turner Hall, 1926-c.1932

Description

Part of the mission of Caroline Emmerton’s settlement work was to provide a community space where Derby Street neighborhood residents could be exposed to theatre and music. To accomplish this, many plays were performed in Turner Hall, especially in the 1920s and 30s including “Two Vagabonds,” as seen in the last image.
