Description
This image has come to symbolize the city of Salem, but few know that it originated within the House of the Seven Gables. The mansion’s last residents, the Uptons, began touring Hawthorne fans through the house in the late 1800s. A daughter of the family, Ida Upton, sold hand-painted “witch cups” and “witch plates” to tourists that were decorated with the earliest rendition of this classic witch on a broom image. Her design has inspired countless variations over the last century.
This Witch Over Salem Water Bottle holds 20 oz. and is made of stainless steel. The handle makes it perfect for hikes, trips, or running daily errands. Below the witch, you can see the shadowy outline of the city of Salem and can even spot House of the Seven Gables!
