Charlot Lucien, Boston Haitian reporter and presenter on BNN-TV, will discuss Haitian immigration patterns over the last 60 years, as influenced by immigration policy, historical events, and generational gaps over time. He has previously worked as the coordinator of a federally funded Refugee Health Technical Assistance Center (RHTAC) and at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health where he also served as the liaison for the Commissioner’s Office following the Haiti earthquake of 2010. Lucien will explore the challenges, opportunities, and recent achievements of this thriving community, the third largest immigrant community in Boston.
