Did you know that Christmas was banned in New England for nearly two centuries? Starting on November 28th, The House of the Seven Gables offers guests a special tour blending the unique history of the mansion with the little known history of Christmas in colonial Massachusetts.
Through December 31st, join us as The House of the Seven Gables mansion is decorated for the holiday season to walk the halls of a house that has stood the test of time to witness the changing nature of Christmas in New England. A tour guide will lead you from room to room in the house which will be beautifully adorned with traditional holiday décor.
Christmas tour is included with museum admission. This special tour is offered during regular hours. Please note, The House of the Seven Gables will close early December 24th, and will be closed on December 25th.
