Description

1916-1917 Seventh Annual Report

The photo on the cover of this report shows children from the Settlement playing behind the Hooper-Hathaway House. A major concern in this report is the search for a new summer camp site as Cobbett’s Pond in New Hampshire was no longer a suitable location.  Praise was given to the music department, deemed “a powerful influence in promoting unity and neighborhood consciousness.” It was noted that the Gables Brass Band, comprised of nineteen musicians ages 16-21, represented three nationalities.
