Second Annual Report
Description
Early annual reports contain a treasure-trove of information about the neighborhood and settlement work at the Gables. The second annual report discusses the important expansion of the Settlement’s reach in partnering with the Juvenile Court to work with boys. Nineteen of the boys in the program that year were on probation. They were found to respond positively to the right environment, useful occupation for leisure time, and a friend – all provided by the Settlement.
