PREMIERE: The House of the Seven Gables Podcast

Listen here!

In the coming weeks, The House of the Seven Gables is excited to announce that we’re starting up a podcast channel! We’ll be covering news, history, and information from our historic site on Apple Podcasts.

Before we go live to the podcast universe, we wanted to give our followers a chance to enjoy the premiere! Assistant Visitor Services Manager Kaylee Redard created our first three episodes for her capstone project at UMASS Boston. In these first episodes, you’ll learn about The Many Myth of Miss Emmerton, starting with The Secret Staircase.

Listeners will join Kaylee on a deep dive into a few of the myths that have surrounded The House of the Seven Gables over the years. Each episode features quotes from Caroline Emmerton, individuals who knew Emmerton personally, former Gables and Settlement Association staff members and volunteers, and archeological documents to explore the fascinating stories that have formed at our historic site.

We invite you to listen and discover some of Miss Emmerton’s myths as we celebrate her vision during our annual fundraiser on September 12. This event will be crucial in our continued financial recovery from a loss of business during COVID-19.
