Preparations to welcome visitors back to The House of the Seven Gables include more than learning history, tending to gardens, and repairing our historic buildings. Safety and security are considered paramount part of welcoming thousands of visitors to our historic site each year. Even in a pandemic, our staff found a way to work with When Seconds Count to train for emergencies that arise. Using a hybrid model, the instructors provided an educational refresher for CPR and AED usage. Our staff also had the opportunity to discuss emergency response at The Gables and how to best help those in need of medical attention on their visit.
Thanks to When Seconds Count for an excellent training and for support in the American Heart Association CPR and First Aid curriculum and for ensuring our lifesaving equipment on-site is up to date.
When we do reopen later in 2021, our staff will be prepared in a number of ways to provide the best possible experience to you!
