Plan Your 2020 Visit to The Gables!

Visitors are at the core of what we do at The House of the Seven Gables. Our staff is excited to welcome you back for our Gardens and Grounds Experience.

For just $7/per person, support our historic site while enjoying our historic gardens and learning about our 350 year history. Visitors will enjoy a smartphone-based tour, a link to a virtual tour of the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion, and access to our Museum Store (located in the c.1655 Retire Beckett House) and Visitor Center.

While our historic interiors might not be open for the foreseeable future, there are other great ways to explore our offerings. Our brand-new smartphone tour can be used as an audio tour or you can do some light reading at each of our 12 stops. Over the season we’ll be adding games, contests, and other fun elements so you never know what you might find! You will have access to our virtual tour of the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion. This tour covers the same ground as an in-person tour and uses beautiful photographs and unique video views to welcome you in. In our Visitor Center, you’ll find necessities like ticketing and restrooms and also a redux of our 350th anniversary exhibit, These Walls Do Talk.

Our staff’s main goal is your health and safety. We are cleaning and disinfecting on a regular basis. Face coverings are required at all times, social distance from other household groups must be maintained, and healthy hand hygiene is expected. We are encouraging one-way traffic around our site.

We depend on visitors to have the funding to be able to preserve our buildings and to remain a welcoming, thriving historic site. We hope to see you in 2020.
