We wanted to kick off our week with a “thank you” to Salem Wine Imports for choosing our site for their Summer Grand Tasting event. Attendees had the chance to sample some fabulous summer wines from around the world on a truly beautiful night. Our staff was on-hand to share our mission and good work with many new and old friends!
Wednesday night is going to be extra special at The Gables. Not only is local historian Dan McNichol coming to talk about the “Great American Road Trip” but we’ll also be hosting a pop-up car show before the event. We expect vehicles to start arriving around 5:00. The lecture starts at 6:30.
Our ESL and Citizenship students are in their last week of classes. While most students can’t wait to get out of the classroom, ours don’t want to leave! We’re working out some details to host a summer session – stay tuned for details.
Speaking of settlement programs, we have room on the bus to NYC on June 22. You don’t want to miss out on this amazing experience to Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the 9/11 Memorial. Transportation and admission are included.
Finally, we wanted to remind our readers of our brand-new mission to be a welcoming, thriving, historic site and community resource that engages people of all backgrounds in our inclusive American story. All are welcome to our historic site.
