What’s Happening This Week?

School vacation is in full effect at The House of the Seven Gables! Kids of all ages love a trip up the secret staircase and seeing the mysteries of a 350-year-old mansion. We’re offering our Winter Family Deal right now and we have our Constructing History at The Gables program every day this week from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. A day in Salem is the perfect “staycation” if you live locally. There are a ton of kid-friendly restaurants; you can sip on chocolate at Kakawa; you can learn about the events of 1692 at the Salem Witch Museum. Special thanks to the Boston Globe for highlighting our programs.

On February 24th, we’re calling all Beverly residents to join us for a free tour! On our Welcome Home Days, we offer select communities a chance to learn all about the stories of our 1668 historic house, take a wander through the Nathaniel Hawthorne Birthplace, and check out our fun, hands-on Living History Labs. Beverly residents just need to bring along proof of residency from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday to take advantage of this offer.

Lastly, we’re incorporating a new way for our visitors to share quick and easy feedback about their time with us. We’re working with Happy or Not to find out just how much you enjoyed your time with us. After your experience, just be sure to pop into the lobby and press the “smiley” that best represents your happiness. Each week our staff will be reviewing results and looking for ways to always improve what we are doing! We also always welcome feedback on Google Places, Facebook, and TripAdvisor.
