The House of the Seven Gables is gearing up for yet another busy October with extended hours for tours and special evening theatrical performances. The Gables is seeking volunteers throughout the month to help with a variety of tasks. Duties include greeters, ticket checkers, door holders, concierges – and many other fun and interesting positions. The Gables sees over thirty thousand visitors in October and volunteers are an integral part of making sure visitors enjoy the best possible experience.
Volunteers are asked to come in for four to five hour shifts. The greatest need is for weekend assistance. Some shifts begin at noon, while others are primarily in the evenings. The wide variety of people that visit The Gables in October make for an exciting time to volunteer. Teens are welcome but must be 16 or older.
Applications are available at The House of the Seven Gables Visitors Center located at 115 Derby Street in Salem, MA and on our website, www.7gables.org/support_volunteer.shtml. For information and to find out more about volunteering at The Gables, please contact Melissa Reynolds, HR Manager, at 978-744-0991, ext 111 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
