Get your hands into all things fiber!   Join us for an exploration into the historical methods of wool production, hand-sewing, rug-hooking, card weaving and more. These labors will be ongoing during the length of the program on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This special hands-on history event is included with your admission to The House of the Seven Gables.

The Colonial Kitchen: Food without Fire

There was a lot of baking, boiling and roasting in a colonial kitchen. However, not everything needed flames. Come lend a hand to some fireless food preparation and preservation techniques, such as butter-making, salting and sugaring. These labors will be ongoing during the length of the program.
