The artistic Upton family taught many classes around Salem, both publically and for private clients. Their instructional programs were held in a variety of locations around the city – from private parlors to public halls like the famed Hamilton Hall on Chestnut Streetl. These programs included classes in dance, music, oratory, china painting and physical posturing.
