Description

Though the plantings and ornamentation have changed over time, the layout of our colonial revival gardens has largely stayed the same. The first photo, for example, shows the persistence of the Jacobean knot flower beds even before the current brick walkways were installed in the late 1950s.

Many of the lawn furnishings currently on the property can be traced back to the early days of the museum, as can be seen in these images. The sundial and creeping vines seen in the first and third photographs, however, have been removed.
