Description
1917-1918 Eighth Annual Report
In the President’s Report for this period the impact of the First World War is evident, particularly in the decrease in charitable giving to the Settlement. The cover image for the report shows Red Cross Surgical Dressing Workers who met regularly at the Gables and produced 15,747 dressings. Proud mention is also made of 33 former participants in classes at the Settlement, then serving in the Armed Forces.
