Una Hawthorne (1844-1877) was the oldest of Nathaniel and Sophia’s three children. She shared many of the creative impulses of her mother, though due to frail health produced little in her life.
Our collection includes a rare watercolor by Una, as well as several books inscribed by her in our archives.
