Essays

A prodigious writer, Caroline Emmerton produced several written works, including plays, essays and one book. She delivered her essays as lectures before various women’s clubs and charitable organizations.  While they cover a wide array of topics – from Leon Trotsky to agriculture in Japan – Emmerton always finds a way to relate the topic to social reform.

The essays were written and revised numerous times. As a result, we have several copies of each. This selection represents a small sampling of the full collection in our archives.
