All visitors must wear a suitable face mask at all times and maintain 6 feet of physical distance from our staff. Vaccination status does not change the requirement to comply with state and local guidelines. Visitors who don’t comply may be asked to leave without a refund.
– Grounds Pass available. Please note: there is no interior access except for restrooms and the Museum Store. Admission includes historic site access, an audio tour for your own device about the site, and links for virtual experiences.
– Semi-private guided tour package includes access to historic site, restrooms, and Museum Store. Admission includes up to a 60-minute tour of The House of the Seven Gables and exploration time in the Nathaniel Hawthorne Birthplace.

Designated a National Historic Landmark District in 2007, The House of the Seven Gables is best known today as the setting of world-renowned American author Nathaniel Hawthorne’s 1851 novel.
