We are excited to bring you the second in a series of videos taking a look into the preservation workshop here at The Gables. This month, Preservation Carpenter Brian Payne takes us through his process of building a new door to replace a broken one from the Retire Becket house. The Retire Becket house is one of our many historic buildings on-site and was moved to its current location here at The Gables in 1924.
The Gables will be closed January 1 through February 14, 2025 for annual maintenance. We will reopen on February 15, 2025.
