Any business will tell you that navigating the capacity restrictions on offices and programming spaces has been a challenge in the COVID-19 pandemic. All businesses have had to make operational changes to keep staff and customers safe. For nonprofits, this poses an additional challenge of funding projects and having community space available.
For the foreseeable future, The House of the Seven Gables would like to work with nonprofits in Salem and the region to offer a safe and comfortable space for meetings, projects, and programming. Our Holyoke-Plumsock room offers just over 1000 sq. feet of space for socially distanced events that cannot happen in smaller offices. We have worked with My Brother’s Table in Lynn for volunteer food packaging and have also offered this space to the City of Salem for teen programming.
Our current capacity restrictions in this space allow for up to six people in the room. Moving forward in 2021, we will welcome the maximum number of people that state and local guidelines allow. The room and visitor center are equipped with HEPA filtration and our staff sanitizes and cleans this space frequently.
If you are a regional nonprofit that needs space for a program, meeting, or community service event please get in touch with Deb Costa, and let’s see how we can partner up!
