Due to the forecasted storm, The House of the Seven Gables will open at 12 noon on Friday, March 6. If you purchased tickets for a morning tour on Friday, please check your voicemail or email for a message from us about rescheduling.

The City of Salem has issued a street parking ban effective 7 pm on Thursday, March 5 and ending at 6 am Friday morning. Salem residents are welcome to park in our lot overnight, but all vehicles must be moved from the lot by 9 am. Vehicles left past that time will be towed.

What’s Happening This Week?

It may not be a traditional New England winter in Salem this week, but you can still get out and view the amazing ice sculptures around town. Salem’s So Sweet weekend is always a huge hit. We know our visitors loved making some Valentines, decorating cookies, and heading across the street to Ye Old Pepper Candie for some treats.

We’ve been having a great time with our Welcome Home Days over the past few weeks. On Sunday, we greeted our friends from Ipswich. Did you know that Ipswich has the highest concentration of 17th Century buildings in America? We hope we lived up to our neighbors’ standards with our gems at our site.

February Vacation is coming! If you are planning some time in Salem, make sure The House of the Seven Gables is on your list. Take a guided tour with one of our talented interpreters or check out our Constructing History program, offered daily February 15 – 23.
