Thank you from It Starts With Me!

Dear Gables Community,

On behalf of the ISWM! Team, I would like to thank you for the continuous support over the years and generous donations to our 12th Annual Turkey Drive. We had another amazing year, and as always, we are grateful that so many people came together with ISWM! to make this happen. Thank you for once again opening up your doors and establishing a drop off location! It has been very helpful with our drive over the years.

Annually, the goal is set, met and exceeded! Thanks to you, organizations, the community, local businesses, volunteers, friends and family for your contributions and making this another successful event.

With your help, the 12th Annual Turkey Drive raised $13,850 in monetary and gift card donations, provided 549 meals to local families and Veterans on the North Shore (which, averages out to over 2,744 people), and donated 150 boxes of additional food and fresh produce to eight local pantries and shelters. That’s over 14,426 items collected!

Each year ISWM! strives to advance its mission of creating a community where every person lives a healthy, safe and happy life. Over the past year, ISWM! has awarded a college scholarship to a graduating Salem High School senior, contributed financial support to a program aimed at reducing high school dropouts, provided warm clothing for children in need, collected over 100 prom dresses for high school students who might otherwise not be able to attend their own proms, as well as, supported many other local community needs and causes. We hope to continue to grow and help many more people in the future.

The goal of ISWM! is to grow and make a difference in the community. Especially in the lives of children. With the help of donations from supporters, such as you, we will continue to see improvements in many people’s lives. Thanks again for your generous support!

Best Wishes,
Melanie McKinnon & the ISWM! Family
