Try some wassail at the 1665 Retire Beckett House on Small Business Saturday

November 30, 2019 Published By Julie Arrison-Bishop

Once a year all are invited to enjoy a free cup of wassail while shopping in the 1665 Retire Beckett House — also known as the Museum Shop — on The House of the Seven Gable’s 2-acre historic campus. This year’s Small Business Saturday is November 30 and parking throughout Salem is free. The House of the Seven Gables offers free parking, as well.

The Museum Shop is highly regarded for much more than its warm and mellow holiday wassail and its beautifully decorated, historic setting. The carefully curated offerings appeal to those seeking gifts unique to historical Salem and of special appeal to those interested in literary arts, American decorative arts and early American history. Shoppers love browsing in the historic house while sipping wassail and enjoying the holiday spirit. All are encouraged to slow down on Small Business Saturday and take full advantage of local shopping. The Gables offers a 10 percent discount for all purchases over $10.

If you can’t join us for Small Business Saturday, we have an amazing members-only night lined up for December 10. Please contact Madeline at 978-744-0991 x109 to learn more!
