The House of the Seven Gables Museum Store is a unique shopping experience. The store is located in the Retire Beckett House, one the oldest homes in Salem, Mass. Whether you want to remember your trip to our National Historic Landmark District museum campus with a unique souvenir or need to pick up a gift to complement any occasion, make our Museum Store your shopping destination!
The Museum Store is open year-round during the regular operating hours.

BOOKS AND MEDIA
Pick up a collector’s edition of The House of the Seven Gables or a Dover Thrift Edition of The Scarlet Letter. Other works by Nathaniel Hawthorne include Mosses from an Old Manse, Twice-Told Tales, and volumes that include collected novels, tales and sketches.
The Museum Store features a number of works by local authors as well as books relating to Salem’s architecture, maritime history, and the Witch Trials. In addition, DVDs, and CDs related to Hawthorne and Salem interests are available.
The House of the Seven Gables has published two new titles: A Gracious Host: Visiting The Gables through the Years and Caroline Emmerton: An Unbounded Vision. Also unique to the Museum Store is The Chronicles of Three Old Houses, which give Caroline Emmerton’s perspective on the restoration of historic properties including the famed House of the Seven Gables.
Clothing selections include a range of items featuring our logo such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, caps, tote bags, and our own exclusive phrase “Teaching Fine Witches Since 1692.”
Our store features a large assortment of candles, sun catchers, and soaps, magnets, shot glasses, candies, jellies, teas, writing accessories, jewelry, and Christmas ornaments. Many items are locally made.
Pick up an “I climbed the Secret Staircase” mug or send along a postcard to let your loved ones know that you enjoyed your visit.
